Location: Remote position or in our offices in LA or Guadalajara

Dirty Work is a full-service media company. We’re a conscious content company entertaining, educating, and informing through storytelling.

We work with major international clients and emerging technologies & agencies. We focus on: docuseries, fandoms, conventions, community, streaming, webseries, alternative distribution, and film festivals. We’re a new-media startup changing the TV & online media markets.

The Gig

We’re looking for a talented Video Editor to work from a location of your choice. You’ll be working up to 40 hours a week on a project-to-project basis.

Currently we’re working on:

Dance documentary series
Drama documentary series
Short genre-based horror/crime film

Huge passion for filmmaking
Experience working on genre-based projects in short film, horror, documentary, sports, dance
Team player who wants to be a director someday
Vision for your filmmaking future
Experience working with documentaries or narrative projects
Understanding of the power of social media & viral content
Tenacity, stopping at nothing to create the perfect cut

Skills & Assets

Following a script
Your own working equipment
Stable internet connection
Understanding of lighting & color correction
Good working relationships with producers & artists
SFX creation
Work quickly to edit footage
Working to deadlines & their importance
Working in a variety of editing suites
Experience within a dynamic editors room

Technical Specifications

Advanced knowledge of & experience with DaVinci Resolve
Deep knowledge of current industry standard video codecs & compression methods
Working knowledge of color correction (DaVinci / After Effects / Magic Bullets)
